Safe, Responsive, and Feather-light Steering

The Cantare is equipped with ultra-light carbon pedals and corrosion-resistant titanium hardware for lasting durability. Its steering cables are made of Dyneema, a high-strength, low-weight composite fabric that’s twice as strong as stainless steel at just a fifth of the weight. A covered, self-centering rudder mechanism keeps the canoe tracking straight whenever you release the pedals—a critical feature should a cable unexpectedly break mid-paddle. To suit varying conditions, you can select from five prepreg carbon-titanium rudders, ranging from a 4″ rudder for low-drag flatwater to an 11″ rudder for secure grip in challenging waters, with swept-back designs available to prevent weed buildup.

The Standard Cantare, you have the ability to personalize your canoe with a choice of 16 colors for the hull, ama, and logos in any combination you desire. Additional customization options include a deck-hull color split, a colored cockpit, and graphics from our catalog—or even your own designs.

Each Standard Cantare also comes with fitted dust covers for the hull, ama, and iakos, ensuring your canoe stays protected when not in use.

Description:

Cantare Pro models are crafted to be lighter than the Standard version by an average of 1.5 lbs (0.67 kg), thanks to a unique weight-saving process. While the structural layups remain the same, weight reduction is achieved by minimizing paint and sanding it down to a thin, sleek layer, giving Pro models a distinctive sanded-through look. For this reason, Pro hulls are available in five exclusive colors—Pro Grey, Pro White, Pro Blue, Pro Green, and Pro Yellow—with customization limited to cockpit and logo colors. The ama and iakos, however, can be fully customized in any color of your choice.

Additionally, Cantare Pros come equipped with a secondary rudder and a set of UV-resistant fitted marine canvas covers, offering optimal protection for long-term outdoor exposure.
