For optimal performance, it’s crucial to ensure that the V-bars are precisely centered on your crossbars, both in front-to-back alignment. However, with hatchbacks and compact SUVs, accommodating a long bar without interfering with the tailgate can be a challenge. Shifting it forward may lead to instability and excessive stress on the front crossbar.

This is where the Hatchback Special steps in. It features a 5-foot bar with one-foot ends, creating a total rack length of 7 feet. Sufficient for your 21-foot boat.
