Aquaglide Chelan 140 Single or 2 Person Performance Kayaks

The new Chelan 140 offers a comfortable performance sole or tandem touring kayak with plenty of room for two adult paddlers. As a solo kayak, the 140 is perfect for storing extra gear on extended trips or adventuring out for a weekend to your favorite waterside campsite. The durable single layer Duratex material with welded seams and high pressure drop-stitch hard bottom floor provides the Chelan with a rigid more responsive feeling open cockpit kayak. The long waterline and sleek shape allow for increased glide and speed. The low rocker profile in the stern and single fin setup allows for excellent tracking, while the bow rocker lifts over water to help keep you dry and in control.

All Chelan model kayaks comes standard with the Aquaglide Chelan model is the Aquaglide ProFormance Seats. The adjustable air filled seats allow you to sit off the kayak floor for added comfort and help keep you dry. The Proformance seats breathable high backs give you adjustable back support. The seats come with a gear storage pocket in the rear and mesh storage in the from for easy access. The multiple points on the boat allow for easy location adjustment or facetime seating that is great for kids.

One of the nice new features added in 2021 is Molle Plates and mesh storage pockets for customizing your storage of dry bags, phone cases and First Aid Kits. All the Chelan models are not outfitted with the Universal Accessory Mount to accommodate the new Aquaglide Cup. Holder, action cameras or fishing rods. The boat is lightweight, easy to carry and perfect for people that have limited storage or the ability to transport a large kayak.

All Chelan models come with the 173L River Crossing Backpack. A fully zippered bag with outer paddle pocket comes with mesh side panels for drainage and breathability. For easy carry, padded shoulder and waist straps they can be easily stowed away when not in use. This allows for clean easy transportation and storage. The River Crossing bag even can be checked in as luggage on a flight.

Warranty Coverage – Paddlesports

Product warranty covers all critical manufacturing defects including general workmanship, seam failures, and material failure due to manufacturing defects.

Warranty Terms

The warranty term for paddlesports products is determined by product materials and construction:

Duratex kayaks including Deschutes, McKenzie, Chelan and Blackfoot Series Kayaks are covered for (2) two years from date of purchase.

Dropstitch SUP’s including 2021 and newer Cascade, Kush, Roam and Blackfoot iSUPs are covered for (2) two years from date of purchase.

HexShell fabric covered kayaks such as Noyo, Chinook, Navarro, and Ultralight TPU products like Backwoods Series are covered for recreational consumer use for (1) one year from date of purchase. These products are not intended for commercial applications such as camp, fleet, or rental use and not covered under warranty for commercial purposes.

Paddlesports products under an approved warranty claim may be repaired or replaced, in part or entirely, at the sole discretion of Aquaglide.

For consumers covered by specific protection laws and/ or regulations in country of purchase or residence, the benefits conferred by this Aquaglide Warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies conveyed by such laws and regulations including, but not limited to, these additional rights.

Accessories/ Pumps

AG accessories and pumps are each optimized for an intended purpose. Any accessory/ pump not able to fulfill its intended purpose due to a manufacturing defect will be considered under this warranty policy.

Warranty Coverage – Accessories/ Pumps

Product warranty covers all critical manufacturing defects including general workmanship, seam failures, and material failure due to manufacturing defects.

Warranty Terms

All paddles including Orion, Crux, and Aries Series paddles are covered for (1) one year from date of purchase.

All other accessories and pumps including Bags, Fins, Seats, Coolers, Hand and Electrical Pumps, PFD’s and any other included or aftermarket accessories manufactured by Aquaglide are covered for (90) ninety days from date of purchase.

Accessories/ Pumps under an approved warranty claim may be repaired or replaced, in part or entirely, at the sole discretion of Aquaglide.

What is NOT Covered Under Warranty?

Normal wear and tear
Freight damage (freight claim must be filed to cover shipping damage)
Damage while in storage (freeze or other damage)
Repairable cuts, punctures, or tears due to external forces
Damage caused by sharp object when opening boxed product
Damage caused by dragging product
Damage caused by exceeding the maximum weight and/ or user capacity
UV Damage without proper treatment (material breakdown, fading)
Damage, or failure due to over-inflation including thermal over-inflation from sun exposure
Vandalism or intended damage
Product failure due to force majeure, acts of God, or inclement weather
Improper maintenance and/or cleaning
Damage caused by animals or plants including marine growth
Damage caused by chemicals or poor water quality

Dated proof of purchase or original invoice, for original owner.
High resolution photo or video showing serial number (where relevant).
High resolution photo or video showing entire product.
High resolution photos or video of defective portion of product. If leaking, show leak with and without soapy water.
